Giving Thanks

November 22nd, 2021

Hello!

The leaves have officially changed, football is in full-swing and the holidays are now upon us. First up: Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a time when friends, family and loved ones come together to celebrate. Some family members might be flying in from different states. Some might be visiting multiple houses in one day. Others might be glued to their television, crossing their fingers for the Detroit Lions to pull off a miracle win.

However, these last two years have been different for a lot of us. Dining room tables filled with food were exchanged for drive-by visits, waving from the car.

2021 is different, and we are all healing. As many of us have, I personally learned a valuable lesson of how we take the simplest things for granted.

I didn’t get to hug my grandpa for an entire year. Air-hugs, video chats and waves were nice, but it just wasn’t the same thing. After 12 long months, I finally got my grandpa hug.

When I think of Thanksgiving I think of those simple gestures, such as a grandpa hug, and being surrounded by loved ones.
I think of how grateful, thankful and blessed I am to have coworkers that are my second family. I think of how lucky we are to have the technology to keep in touch and connected with everyone, regardless of our location.

On behalf of the entire Centaris staff, we would like to wish all of you the happiest Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,
