Center for Computer Resources Achieves SOC 2 Auditing Standard
Troy, MI: February 22, 2013 – Center for Computer Resources announced today that it has successfully completed a secondary SOC reporting audit in regards to its security. The audit, which was performed by Godfrey Hammell, Danneels & Company, P.C., a nationally recognized, independent auditing firm located in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, is an in-depth review of CCR’s standards and controls. After meeting the requirements for the SOC 1 audit in 2011, the SOC 2 audit focuses on security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy on behalf of the company’s customers.
The SOC (Service Organization Control) standard achieved by CCR was created and is overseen by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
“CCR is constantly working to ensure the safety and reliability of our hosted applications and client data, and this audit is one way in which we measure ourselves against widely-accepted standards of excellence,” said CCR President and CEO Curtis Hicks. “This audit is a milestone for us, but it’s far from a final destination. Security and reliability require constant innovation and vigilance and that’s what we’ll continue to provide our clients.”
CCR, based in Troy, provides IT services and solutions in fields as diverse as medicine, wholesale distribution, government, manufacturing, legal and professional services. Its portfolio of partner relationships includes Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, VMware, Cisco, Citrix, SonicWall and APC.
