On Tuesday, April 11th members of the Centaris Team spent the day doing what they love most, volunteering and giving back to the local community. The Centaris team members volunteered at the Matrix Human Services food drive held at The Matrix Center located in Detroit.
“Matrix Human Services is a Detroit based non-profit organization that provides assistance to more than 20,000 people annually by offering essential needs, education, and supportive services that defuse crises, treat individuals and family problems, prevent abuse and neglect.”
The second and fourth Tuesday, or two Tuesdays a month, volunteers help distribute food to hundreds of families and individuals. Volunteers place the donated food in their vehicle or wagons after they drive or walk up. The food is provided by Forgotten Harvest and differs each Tuesday based on their donations.
This is just one of the many amazing programs that Matrix does to help give back to the local community. Others include Meals on Wheels for Seniors, Holiday Events and Youth Services Partnerships.
